Even though I shoot mostly events, weddings and the such, I am also quite fond of landscape photography.
The other day, one of my friends invited me to take bird with him, take pictures of birds in flight. He brought along a 600mm f/4, a 400mm f/2.8, and a 70-200mm f/2.8. I assumed that he was going to let me borrow either his 400 or 600, but turns out he was pretty stingy
He didn’t even let me touch either of his super telephoto lenses …. Booooo…
(I do see where he comes from though. I wouldn’t want anybody else touching my $7000+ gear.)
So, I put on my little 8mm f/3.5 Rokinon fisheye and took a couple of pictures.
So, the lesson today is that you shouldn’t let your lack of expensive gear hinder you.
I used a $250 lens to take this picture and didn’t let my lack of a super telephoto keep me from taking pictures!
(I did use photomatix pro to made this into an HDR image.)
