Blurry Pic = Good!

Blurry Pic = Good!

Sometimes a blurry picture is a great picture. In this case, it’s an amazing picture 😀 (plus, a blurry picture is always better than no picture at all, right?) So, don’t be hasty deleting blurry pics.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…     So, which picture do you like the best? It’s better to communicate with your client, get a feel of what kind of pictures they like. They’re are many ways to view the same image. The one that you may like may not be the one […]

Copyright Infringement = Stealing!!!

Copyright Infringement = Stealing!!!

Yes guys. Copyright infringement is considered stealing. Would you steal money from a bank? Would you steal candy from a store? Would you plagiarize someone’s work for your final term paper? Would you copy someone else’s picture and say it was your own? Any one of these things can be considered wrong and you can be […]

Art of Seeing

Art of Seeing

Many people refer to photography as the art of seeing. I wouldn’t have found the cat if I hadn’t dropped my pen and had to bend down to pick it up. Open your eyes. Look around you. Observe. There are so many things that you might pass by during your daily routine because of dulled […]

Don’t waste time deleting images on-camera.

Don't waste time deleting images on-camera.

A blurry picture is better than no picture at all! Don’t forget that! Well, maybe not this picture! haha. You can almost not tell that it’s me 😛 This picture, although out of focus, is a snapshot of a moment in history. Having this out of focus picture is better than having nothing at all. […]

Two camera bodies?

Two camera bodies?

Yes. Yes. Definitely! Thing is, sometimes, you don’t have the luxury of changing lenses. There’s simply no time between shots as in the case of event photography. Event photography is one of the most demanding. Every single moment counts. Most photographers, like me, prefer to carry two cameras at the same time: one with a […]

Being prepared

Being prepared

One part of being prepared is waking up. I’m an extremely heavy sleeper, and it honestly takes a while to get up in the morning. But once I’m up, I’m up. There are two things that help me get up in the morning. http://kukuklok.com/ is an awesome flash app that helps me get up in […]

Means to an end.

Means to an end.

Look how cool I am! Me and my big camera! Try to beat that! HAHA! I are PRO!   No, but seriously. Many budding photographers feel let down when they see another photographer with the latest gear and cameras a few sizes up from theirs. They feel threatened when they see a lens that’s bigger […]

Be early. Stay late. Be courteous. Stay professional.

Be early. Stay late. Be courteous. Stay professional.

Yes. This is very important in most types of photography. Especially my two favorite kinds: event and sports photography. Be early Arrive a couple of minutes beforehand. It definitely helps. It’ll give you an opportunity to talk to your client. But most importantly, it’ll give you a few extra minutes. This time could be spent […]

SOAR Awards

SOAR Awards

I’ve always stressed that it’s important to be early for your photo assignments. It should be noted that it is equally as important to also stay after an event is over. After all the awards were given out and everyone finished their dinner, most of the people headed out. I stayed after everyone left and […]

Less Is More

Sometimes, less is more. When I was asked one of my friends to check out my website, she told me that I had too many pictures. At first I thought, “WHAT?! I started with almost 1000 pictures and I cut it down to 150 pictures!”. So I went back into my gallery and started looking […]

Competition

Photography is getting more and more competitive by the second. Technology plays a huge factor into this. The fact is, cameras are made smaller and more affordable to general consumers every few months. Digital files are easy to work with and don’t really prevent anyone from picking up a camera. The invention of sites like […]

New site – Photoshelter

So, I recently migrated over to photoshelter for all of my photo business needs. It took me ages to set up, but I’m pretty satisfied with the job that I did. Especially with the awesome theme that I got from Graph Paper Press. I do recommend both if you’re wanting to set up a photography […]
